IMPACT OF INJURY ‘24
IPC’s landmark report reveals the high prevalence of injury in film, TV and theatrical production. The findings highlight the harmful effects that workplace injuries can have on the physical, mental, and financial welfare of professionals in the creative industries. The occurrence of injury in production not only affects individuals but can also have a ripple effect across departments, affecting cast, crew and at times risking the viability of productions altogether.
This report is an offering to industry stakeholders in support of present and future efforts to ameliorate this state of play. It is a snapshot which explores the prevalence and impact of injury in stage and screen production and exposes how this subject is interlaced with various other issues which stem from this established culture.
These results indicate a sector wide problem, but one which key stakeholders have an opportunity to address.
